Should I go for iPhone 5 or Samsung Galaxy S3

If you are puzzled which to buy, whether Samsung’s Galaxy S3 or Apple‘s iPhone 5, then you are not alone in the U.S. There are tons and tons of people still are unable to decide whether to go for iPhone 5 or Samsung Galaxy S3.

Apple’s iPhone 5 is a terrific phone, and so is the Galaxy S3. In fact it won’t be wrong if you go with either phone.

If you are choosing Samsung Galaxy S3 then there are plenty of reasons. IHS iSuppli market research firm published a study that Galaxy S3’s display is superior to the display of iPhone 5. The findings said the display of Galaxy S3 offers full color gamut of the National Television System by just being 1.1 millimeters thick where as the iPhone 5 only offers 72 percent of the said color gamut in a 1.5 millimeters thickness of display.

Well, some may argue that this does not necessarily mean the display is really any better. Check the screen of both the smartphones yourself and determine with which to go.

Also remember, Android devices are more configurable than the iOS phones and tablets. So it is the same with Samsung Galaxy S3 and iPhone 5 too when compared. You will be experiencing more flexibility with Galaxy S3 in customizing it. Moreover, the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS) user interface is easy and not so complicated as other operating systems. The user interface will become better after you upgrade the device with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.

Samsung Galaxy S3 accommodates any microUSB cable as well as charger. I don’t need to find just the right charger for it as with iPhone 5. This gives the flexibility of leaving chargers in different places like one in bedroom, the other in living room, and of course one in my office to charge the device when battery goes low. The same was possible with iPhone 3GS, but the later versions accommodated only dedicated chargers and microUSB cable.

Many apps that is paid on an iOS device comes free on Android. The most popular apps are available on the Google Play store. Also, some good apps like Google Maps are not available on the iOS but you can experience it on your Android mobile. Also, the Apple’s Maps app on iPhone 5 is full of errors and mistakes. You may get lost following it on the streets of unknown places. It has misguiding icons too.

So, what you need to do now? Drop at any AT&T store and check iPhone 5 as well as Galaxy S3. See the look and feel of both the smartphones keeping in your hands, and then decide which phone to buy.

Good luck!
