Revamped MySpace Will Be Separated From Old MySpace

Over the coming months, the newly revamped MySpace will be launched. But that’s not the point of this post. This is for something else that we have learnt about this new launch which is what this post is all about.

When the revamped MySpace launches in the coming months, the users of the classic MySpace and the users of the new MySpace will be kept segregated from each other. Tim Vanderhook, CEO of MySpace, told this in an interview with the ABCnews.com, about the plans of the new MySpace. Says Vanderhook, there will be a new and separate section for the consumer-base of the new MySpace and about the old section. He said that they are going to leave it as it is for quite some time now and only at a later date will they take any decision about it.

The old MySpace had come crashing down and was rolled over completely by the Facebook, but still at its height it was the biggest social networking site in the world. So, maybe the decision to leave the old MySpace as it is, is a wise decision, given that it won’t be wise to completely abandon the millions of user who had flocked to it, while it was at its best.

The new MySpace will be integrated with Facebook and Twitter as according to him “no one wants to manage another social network”, bowing his hat to Facebook and claiming it as the “uber social network that is supposed to be there.”
