Microsoft has announced the price for its Windows RT-Powered Surface tablet, which has been kept as a secret from its announcement. Today Microsoft has revealed its price after that it goes up for pre-order. The price range starts from $499.
Surface with Touch Cover
The Windows RT powered surface model does not include touch cover, if we want to buy device with touch cover it starts at $599. At this price, Microsoft almost matches Apple. The 32GB Surface RT with touch cover costs US $599, while a 32GB New iPad costs the same. There is also 64GB surface model with touch cover starts at $699.
The touch cover costs you a $119 more, while the type cover costs $129. The Surface RT is initially available for pre-order in eight countries via Microsoft’s online store in Australia, Canada, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, United Kingdom and the United States. The shipping will being from next Friday (October 26).
Surface without Touch Cover
The Windows RT-Powered Surface tablet will be available only in the Microsoft stores. Microsoft plans to showcase the surface display in their stores so as soon as you walk in on the door, you can take a quick peek at their new comer. Also they are planning to line their walls with customer service stations to help people set up and learn the device.
Availability
From October 26th onwards the Microsoft Surface Windows RT tablet will be available for online pre-orders in eight countries including Australia, Canada, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, the United Kingdom and the United States. After that, the Surface RT tablet is expected to launch in other countries.
