Karbonn Unveils Cheap Jelly Bean Tablet In India

Karbonn announced of launching world’s cheapest Jelly Bean tablet in India. Until now we knew Google Nexus 7 is of lowest price 7-inch device run on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system.

Dubbed as Karbonn Smart Tab 1, the tablet will currently run on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS) OS but is upgradable to Jelly Bean. The tablet is priced just about $125 (Rs 6999) and is powered by 1.2GHz processor.

Karbonn Smart Tab 1 is a 7 incher with capacitive LCD touchscreen that supports 800 x 480 pixels of resolution. It features 2 megapixel front camera and is fueled by 3700 mAh battery. The memory is expandable to up to 32 GB by microSD and microSDHC cards.

The tablet supports 3G with USB dongle, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and HDMI connectivity.

Karbonn Smart Tab 1 tablet will be available within this month, said Karbonn Mobiles’ Executive Director Shashin Devsare.

Karbonn Mobiles’ Managing Director Pradeep Jain said they aims of selling about 200 thousand tablets a month focusing on education, healthcare, business solutions segmentation and other fast growing verticals.
