Wi-Fi is an integral part of any home these days. It allows anyone to connect to internet with their portable devices no matter at which part of their home they are. Now no longer you have to come to your desktop or to a terminal just to access the internet.

To protect and secure our Wi-Fi connections from outside access we set up the passwords and most of the devices these days allow you to save the Wi-Fi password thus allowing future connection to the same network very quickly. Sometimes one of our family members have just changed the Wi-Fi password and they used the internet from your android device but you aren’t aware of the password as a result you are not able to connect your other android devices.

For such situation we have written a guide that will allow you to know the password thus allowing you to connect your other android device to the same Wi-Fi connection without asking the password from anyone. For this guide to work you will need a rooted android device.

How To Recover Forgotten Wi-Fi Passwords On Android Devices

  1. Make sure your device is rooted. If it’s not rooted then you can refer to our previous guide on how to root an android device.
  2. Head to the play store and download Root browser on your android device.
  3. After the app is installed launch it and browse to the data folder > Misc folder > Wi-Fi folder
  4. Inside the Wi-Fi folder you will see a file named wpa_supplicant.conf. Open this file with a tect editor app
  5. After you open this file you will see a list of all the networks that you have connected to along with the passwords of the network if it was entered
  6. You can use the password on your other android devices to connect to the same network.

 

There you have a simple guide that will allow you to recover passwords to a Wi-Fi connection and allow you other android devices to connect to the network.
